Elidah is a Connecticut-based medtech company that created the FDA approved ELITONE, the first non-surgical, non-invasive treatment for stress urinary incontinence. Urinary incontinence affects 1 in 3 women, yet many forego treatment because of the invasiveness and inconvenience of available solutions. Elidah’s ELITONE provides an effective, wearable solution that women can use at home, allowing them to get treatment whenever and wherever they choose. The device offers a clinically-proven way to exercise pelvic floor muscles by delivering low-frequency pulses – essentially doing longer and stronger Kegel exercises for the user, improving bladder control and reducing leaks in as few as 6 weeks. Largely funded by the National Science Foundation, the company received its FDA clearance and started US commercialization of the product in 2019.
